Sussex Travel Clinic is a nurse-led travel clinic specialising in helping travellers of all kinds ensure they are properly immunised and protected from potential health risks. The Clinic also sells a range of travel gear designed to promote health and comfort overseas.
As an established business with two locations and a wide client base, the Sussex Travel Clinic was in need of a trusted, reliable digital marketing partner to help shape their online presence and further extend their reach.
In addition to support and guidance in digital advertising and social media strategy, they wanted access to a responsive web development service. This would allow them to make as-and-when changes to the site without hiring full time in-house staff.
Identifying their needs
The Sussex Travel Clinic needed a web design and marketing team to take responsibility for the ongoing maintenance and improvement of their web sites and digital marketing strategies. They needed reliable, responsive support and guidance, and to feel like they had their very own digital design and marketing department.
This ongoing partnership would need to deliver both support and pro-active strategy, and to respond to the needs of the business on deadline. They needed their website to be stable, secure, and constantly improving its search rankings and social media visibility.
Meeting their needs
To make sure that the Clinic had the reliable service they needed, we provided a service level agreement which dictated exactly what they could rely on us for, and how we would respond. This made sure that their expectations were met, and that we were able to be certain of delivering the required level of service.
We were aware that as a growing business, the Clinic needed to keep costs to a minimum, but we looked for creative ways to offer the service they needed at reduced overhead. With this in mind, we created and implemented a comprehensive social media marketing strategy, then provided training to the relevant staff, allowing them to manage their own engagement with us taking a support role, negating the need for unnecessary external cost.
Because of their desire to boost traffic and visibility, we carried out a full technical audit of their site to ensure that they were optimised for maximum search engine relevance, and – again keeping costs down – delivered this work as part of their support agreement.
Along the way we also discovered a number of potential efficiency improvements, and presented these to the client in specially produced plain-English reports with informative graphics. As part of this additional streamlining, we created an online version of their registration form, allowing new customers to register remotely and opening up a new revenue stream.
How it helped
As well as offering immediate support and improvement to their website and online activities, our efficiency-saving suggestions immediately resulted in tangible savings. The digitisation of their registration process has created a better experience for their customers and a more scaleable internal process that is easier to introduce to new team members and across new locations.
Our technical audit and the resulting targeted support means that their website is stable and well optimised for gradual, natural improvement in Search Engine Results Pages. In the second 3rd of their agreement with us they have seen a 200% increase in search traffic due tothe fact that they were no longer being penalised by search engines for some critical technical flaws that existed in their original website.
As this is an ongoing project for us, we haven’t stopped looking for ways to help. We are continually refining the site and its content to attract more potential customers while ensuring that the bounce rate continues to decrease. Because the Clinic know that we are always making improvements, and always on hand for support, they are able to concentrate fully on their core business, backed up by a system that works the way they need it to.
